That's okay, but... having to restart all over including the non-skippable intro is a bit annoying

Grent responds:

The opening cutscene is skippable! If you hit ESC on keyboard or Start on controller, you can skip any cutscene in the game. If you meant the title screen bit, though, I might make that skippable if I end up revisiting the checkpoint system.

Thanks for playing!

In some places the path is unclear, like there are some invisible obstacles or something. Not a bad game though, pretty neat

Warxwell responds:

Thanks! I did that part on purpose, think of it like dark area. Did add some clues but I see where you're coming from.

Not bad for a first try. But sort of anticlimax ending. The flying shadow hinted at some mystical part of the story, but there was none. What was the reason behind pretending the girl's dead? There are some possible hints, but they are doubtful. The "horrors of the past" for protagonist mentioned in the intro were not actually presented. Anyway, the atmosphere was good and it was a good little experience

LionJeff responds:

!!!SPOILER WARNING!!!
Thanks for playing, rating and leaving a comment!
Yes, there is a lot of between the lines in the story telling here. The shadow is more representative of the lingering malice which drove the parents to treat the sister as she was. The reason for pretending she had died was so the father could keep her in the damnation room and do with her as he willed. He was worried she would tell people about the abuse so everything was set up to make her disappear, including a fake funeral (which is why his parents didn't cry). Some of the measures taken show that the father knew what he was doing was wrong so he tried to hide it from the world, the keypad security locks, extra lock on the damnation room and a more subtle clue between the kitchen and bathroom, pudding and sleeping pills to keep her subdued. The complicity of the mother also shows the state of the household, the father makes all the rules and no one questions his authority.
There's a lot of true crime inspiration and details from many different cases rolled into one here and a lot left to the imagination, which for me, those stories tend to stick a bit more in my mind.
I appreciate your feedback! I've been wanting to do another horror game and I'll take your story callouts in to consideration while working on the next!

It is a lovely party, also cool pumpkin patch

arudasics responds:

Thank you!

It was pretty fun, but when it turns into a precision platformer... not my favorite type.

KanartStudio responds:

That's fair, I like it when games try to mix different genres and mechanics, but I totally understand that not everyone enjoys this.
That's why I'm preparing an update to make it possible to skip some levels.
Thank you for the feedback :)

The game mechanics seems to be improved, but to be honest, I still find this "riding the rolling dice" kind of annoying part. But maybe it's just for the casual player like me, I'm not really good at those tricky platformer stuff

J4cko16 responds:

The dice rolling mechanic requires alot of skill and timing to master. I made the game as a love letter to the platforming community and it is not made for a casual audience. I wanted the difficulty of the game to match that of Celeste. Thank you for testing out the game again!

On level 3 (I guess) the moving platforms are simply too far of each other to jump between them. Not bad visuals and audio though.

AL7USSAIN responds:

Thanks for your review but i made sure that they are possible to jump between them

It's actually a cool game. Are there many endings? I was always at top and was the last one to go.

Chris responds:

Nah thats the only ending. There are a number of ways the performance reviews can play out though and you can be fired for doing badly.

Thanks for the review :)

A deadly combo - gun and brain
Makes another awesome game.

I suck at poetry...

Eydi responds:

Your poetry was not too shabby
I don't mean to sound too sappy
Your rhyming just makes me happy
