Looks cool, but I don't get how traps are supposed to be used, they don't seem to work at all

Yeah, we could have given more UI hints for that. 🤔

Place them on the lane with the eyeball in the space where the player walks, then walk on the eyeball to trigger it.

Nice one. Needs a way to replay previous levels if you've accidentally missed the puzzle piece

Yeah we did plan on making a level selector that shows if you’ve gotten the piece but we ended up running out of time. It’s definitely on the list of things to add thought !

A fun game, but the difficulty is a bit unfair, this damn *redacted* keeps biting the wires before I ever has chance to fix'em.

Does not work for me. The spider touches bugs but they keep going and nothing happens. Visuals look not bad though and controls are working as intended

Hello! Thank you for playing the game. Turns out my player script bugged, making the bugs(in the game, not software bugs) impossible to catch. I'll release a patch in a couple of days to make the game playable and I'll be adding some medals to make the game a bit more enjoyable!

Is there a secret ending somewhere?

NO!

I keep getting "Warning Writing error FS error" messages that just fills the entire screen and are generally annoying... Also, it has somewhat like date-sim interface and beginning of a gameplay, it doesn't even have cute girls to attract the player.
Jokes aside, the start of the game doesn't feel really engaging and relatable. I don't feel hooked by it in any way.

Thanks for the feedback! It seems like there's an issue with the game on Newgrounds as I'm not getting that error on Itch.io.

Update: there was an issue with the web build. I rebuilt it and the warnings are fixed now.

Feels overwhelming right at the start. Like, the character is supposed to know something about alchemy, but the player is not and is forced to read pages and pages of description before actual playing. So it feels weird and really overwhelming with all the ingredients there. I had a strong urge to just close the game right away. Probably needs sone sort of tutorial or earlier levels or something

The intro has definitely been the main point of criticism. As it was a jam game I focussed on getting the gameplay loop working and didn't have enough time to create a good tutorial. I'm starting work on the DX version of the game and I'll be making sure to better ease the player into things.

Needs pause when lose mouse focus. Other than that - not a bad approach to tetris

It is recommended to use the keyboard, but there was no explanation for this.

Tried playing it on mobile. Confused at what am I supposed to do when yellow square with 1 appeared. I tried going through it with one swipe or while continuously pushing the screen, but nothing works. Some instructions would be cool.
Previous levels felt okay though, touchscreen control was comfortable enough

Woah cool! I’ve never tested it on mobile so I’m glad that the touchscreen controls work.
The yellow square is actually a lock, and you have to collect the yellow diamond to unlock it. It could be possible that the diamond is hiding out of your view if the resolution of the game is larger than your mobile.
