The concept is pretty fun, even with a lack of plot. However, income even from 3-stars victories is too low (+100 is not even enough for 1 upgrade). Upgraded units increase in price makes it impossible to play if you haven't made enough hero upgrades. This two things combined quickly turn playing into grinding previous levels for money which is not fun. The graphics and music are nice though, so it needs some economics/difficulty tweak to be really ok.

Wombart responds:

Thanks for the comment!

I'm going to increase the initial 3 stars reward to make it easier to buy upgrades early on and avoid people being unfairly punished for making small mistakes early on.

This nneds medals!

Fish125 responds:

We hope to add medals for the next update

Love it the first glance, gotta play till the end

Edit: Finally made it till the end after the last patch that made the game much easier (just right for stupid schmucks like me). And it is ADORABLE. It's a pity I can't give 5 more stars.

Marckel responds:

Hooray! Feel free to let me know what you think in the end!

I'm not sure if it's intended but I don't see the character or anything beyond the flashlight ray and it's REALLLY inconvenient to play cause I don't even know the character position exactly.

Nomron responds:

Thank you for the review! This was due to a rendering bug which should (fingers crossed) now be fixed.

So... is there a way to win?

Piggybank12 responds:

I actually don't know for sure haha, the game never got the proper difficulty testing it needed to properly balance it. I think it may be impossible though, the most I've been able to gather as of this writing with the jam build is 104, and the tweaked collision got me up to 111 fireflies.
There is a failsafe that kicks in if someone actually did manage to get them all, though it's nothing that's very interesting (it skips the endings and boots you straight to the credits screen).

Another example of great NG people working together to create a great... something.

LazyPix3l responds:

Thank you :)

Let's see what NG is giving me... The Hermit, The Sun, The Hanged Man, all upright.
Guess Imma gonna shut myself out, then I'll be considered a weirdo, dragged out of my place, blinded by the sun and hanged for being a hikki. Am I right?

itsreddqueen responds:

As far as i know, it means that you're looking for answers within yourself, which will bring catharsis because you could possibly be looking at things from a new perspective. I hope I answered this to the best of my abilities.

Needs some sort of a compass to where the station is, other than that - cool

Extar responds:

Yeah a few people pointed that out over on the Ludum Dare website too. There's no restriction in making changes to the game on here, so I've started on the post-jam version already. v1.1 adds a little indicator to show where the space station is (the space station can be anywhere on the map now too) Also fixed a bunch of bugs related to asteroid damage, and shields should be less OP now. Thanks for playing!

Nice game, just a bit too short for my taste

Two things

1. The colors in the notebook are too pale, I had to strain my eyes to read anything. Why not using food old black?
2. The rabbit guy first asks if anything happened at all, than he says that he wasn't near the diner though no one told him that it happened in the diner. I thought he would be the murderer.

But for the rest - cool game, I'd like to see more!

TwoEuroWineProd responds:

Okay now after replaying, I see the point of Nathan beeing the murderer.
Thank you very much for the feedback, glad you enjoyed!

That guy that always asks for songs lyrics to be added in descriptions
