I don't actually see a reason to put less than 1 sec animation in movie portal. Especially if it's practice thing. It's much better to post it as a gif in arts or insert in a blog post.

I'd rather re-watch the original anime. I honestly see no reason to do this kind of remake. It will not survive comparison with the atmosphere and emotions of the original. If you have a desire and skills to create something, why not making something of your own? Even if it will be a mahou-shoujo sentai, but with original characters and idea, it will be much better.
