I'd say I am kind of loosing the hook comparing to the first two episodes. the performance is still outstanding of course, but the plot, especially that part about Sam writing his column felt a bit boring, the flashbacks did not provide enough emotional impact I expected from this character with a backstory of fails. I kind of expected him to start writing generic advices and then go like "To hell with that, that shit does not work, I will simply put here a list of what not do and how it all fails". Feels like a betrayal of expectations or promises tone-wise.

I can see where you're getting at. This episode was written mainly for exposition as you can hear. While it may seem boring, the column scene was written to showcase that for someone like Sam, change and good can happen for him. Before he writes his column, we find out he has a track record and bad history with relationships. Sam does express that he wants to overcome his past and this job is helping him with that. The memories are meant to showcase that even with his horrible past relationships, this one with Celine is good and is reshaping his thoughts on relationships. The advice he gives is genuine and stuff he's learned from Celine. Even though the surprise part was Dante's idea, Celine surprising him at the end affirms his advice. Hope that clears things up a bit! I appreciate your response and feedback though, helps us with writing for future episodes!

Stunning work, the combination of eerie and everyday stuff really makes your skin (the largest organ, yeah) tingle. Kind of reminds my experience from reading Higurashi no naku koro ni. The performance and sound design are top notch. Great work!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the series so far! We hope you stick around for what's to come!

I finally found time to listen to it and I must say everyone did an amazing job. The story, the characters, the voices, the music - everything is top notch. Love the 4th wall jokes a lot. Great work!

It's a good format, it meets my attention span totally, who needs those hour-long talks anyway. I wanted to write something else but I forgot what it was...

I just had to replay SUPERPSTWARPG and rewatch Dot-Dot-Dot after this

Cool to hear Lovecraft reference, I like his works.
Also being the lazy schmuck I am I love sleeping too...

As for "Monster" - I've never watched the anime, but I've read the manga and it was pretty solid. I see how Tenma's ark could seem inconsistent though, his transformation might come unreasonable at first, especially if it was cropped in the anime. I'd say the peak moment of the manga comes at the very end and is not related to Tenma but to monster. Also, I'd say most of the manga is about how the boy and what was done to him just distorts everything and everyone around, turning people into monsters.
Anyway, nice podcast

Cool to read some monster analysis. I gotta rewatch that

Amazing song! Additional thanks for posting both original lyrics and translation!

Tennon responds:

Thank you

Sounds good. Wish there was a link to the art that inspired it

VictorLincolnPine responds:

I totally forgot to link the art for it. I've fixed that now.

Hell yeah, this is infusing me with da powah
