The grip on the weapon (or whatever it is) seems a bit weird, like it's not a tight grip and he is holding it with a fingertips, which is strange for seemingly heavy thing

Yes, it was weird. The client passed me a pose and wanted me to do exactly that pose with that gun, same grip haha. And well, I follow orders, even though my eyes are crying blood haha.
