So... This morning I tried to visit NG but couldn't do it unless via VPN. Does this mean NG is banned by those idiots calling themselves authorities? Or is there another problem?

For newcomers to this topic: 'Russia blocking websites Putin doesn't like' is _not_ a 'new thing'. Some of you might just not have heard about it, yet:

You can actually bypass it, Newgrounds in Indonesia is also got banned
You can try changing your DNS to CloudFlare
Can you get any of the site to load or is everything completely blocked? Do you see any sort of message on the screen?
It was just not loading, whatever page on NG I was trying to open, unless I used VPN. But now it works fine again without VPN! I've read there were some problems with various services throughout Russia lately because authorities banned Cloudflare or something similar. Let's hope it will not happen again!

Hmmm... The trustworthy site* I usually use to check this is (currently?) down.
The following site I picked out of a hat (requires Google captcha) claims that newgrounds.com is banned:
"Vladivostok - newgrounds.com Not Working in Russia.
This URL appears to be blocked in Russia."
